The Simpsons: Hit-and-Run is a game based on the television show, The Simpsons. It is very similar, gameplay-wise, to Grand Theft Auto III, except less controversial. You can be Bart, Lisa, Homer, Marge, or Apu in this crazed spree around Springfield.

The story is pretty basic at first: there are weird wasp/camera robots and black surveillance vans all around Springfield. The first level (levels being simply areas in Springfield, sometimes at different times) gives you the role of Homer, running around and doing missions (most of which are simple errands). You can run things and people (who don't die) over in your car, but too much results in getting fined by the police.

The characters have neat quotes, like Homer when he runs someone over singing, "I am Evil Homer! I am Evil Homer!" You can also pick up rides from special characters like Comic Book Guy and Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel by doing special missions for them.

The game is epic in length, and really draws you into their world with quests, mini-games, hunting tasks, and much more. You can easily play it for weeks without getting bored - and after we played it through, we promptly began again!

Highly recommended.

It's an ok game, but I'm stuck on the part where you have to gather the road kill in a certain time.
Funney and fun game       rating

I bought this game for my brother in 2006. Its a funney game full of simpsons humer. the good part about this game is that it uses real evets from the show to play out the story. In the game you have to drive aroud in at least 25 different cars (all from the show) and compleat events like help chef wigom collect doenets or find all of Dr nicks lab monkeys

The down side of the game is there are way to maney game errors like invisable walls and geting lost in nothingness but you probably won`t
run into these things unless you use cheats.

The other downside is there are only 7 levels and 3 worlds. But the levels are really long and the world are really big.

I give this game 7 out of 10

Silly Simpsons Fun       rating

This game is the Simpsons. I am so impressed by the level of continuity this game maintains with the universe of the show. Things that are keystones in Simpson "lore" appear in this game; like the extinguished Monorail station , the Matlock expressway, and more! The game is fun, and unlocking the abundant number of vehicles for the characters to drive around town can be a challenge at times. Being very brief, the game is fun and allows for a lot of entertaining play. Don't buy this game for multiplayer mode though.
